DETAILED TOUR PROGRAM :

DAY 01 ARRIVAL COCHIN
On arrival our representative will meet you and transfer to hotel in Cochin.

DAY 02 COCHIN SIGHT SEEING
Morning proceed for Cochin sightseeing visit the Mattancherry Palace, built by the Portuguese in 1555. The Palace was presented to the Raja of Cochin as a gesture of goodwill. This was also known as the Dutch Palace (Closed on Friday), resulting from substantial renovation by the Dutch after 1663. The central hall was the Coronation Hall of the Rajas. Their dresses, turbans and palanquins and murals from Hindu mythology are all beautiful and worth seeing. Culminate the tour at Fort Kochi, which is said to be the oldest European settlement in India.
Fort Kochi is the earliest recorded settlement on the Malabar Coast, with its beautiful colonial bungalow peppered with Dutch, Portuguese and Malabar architecture. The many small winding streets with lovely old houses are truly a treasure trove.

Note: Jewish synagogue closed on Friday & Saturday on both the dates

Evening visit the auditorium to witness the Kathakali dance show. (Overnight stay in Cochin)

DAY 03 COCHIN – THATTEKAD (CYCLING)
Pick up from Kochi. We start off on our cycles making the most of the early morning coolness heading towards the foothills of the Western Ghats towards the lowland forests of Thattekkad. We will start a little off the city limits enabling us to avoid the morning city traffic and reach a quiet countryside where the roads are mostly level. We pass through a scenic countryside of temples, spice gardens, paddy fields and rubber plantations and will reach the spectacular eco-lodge on the banks of the river Periyar.

DAY 04 CHITHIRAPURAM (CYCLING)
After an early breakfast, we will start our cycling through village roads along the banks of Periyar River. We will cross the Neriamangalam town and continue cycling to Kallarkutty Dam. From the dam we have a challenging climb all the way to our resort at Chithirapuram. We will gain about 2500 feet in altitude. There will be a significant difference in temperature between the start and the finish area.

DAY 05 MARAYOOR (CYCLING)
Morning after breakfast we start our cycle to Marayoor famous for its local sandalwood and also its a a pleasant village on a steep hillside offering a grand panorama of the Western Ghats on every step. The air is fresh and the locals friendly.

DAY 06 SURYANELLI (CYCLING)
We have another challenging day ahead of us. The route will take us through small villages like Rajakkad and Poopara until we reach the tea plantations and a challenging climb through Mudhuvan tribal settlements. We should reach our camp overlooking the scenic Anaerangal Lake by late afternoon. We will be staying overnight in a cottage tented camp. We have a campfire and dinner at the camp.

DAY 07 VANDENMEDU (CYCLING)
We have a long and spectacular day ahead of us. The view is magnificent as we descent down from the tea gardens of Suryanelli to the spice plantations at Vandenmedu. We will be cycling through spice plantations with great opportunity to see the rural India.

DAY 08 VANDENMEDU – PERIYAR (CYCLING)
Cycle to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 tiger reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel.Good bye to your captain and crew.
Afternoon you have option to go on boating inside the Periyar National park, go on a spice plantation tour where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. It is also possible to go for an Elephant ride today. (Overnight stay in Periyar)

DAY 09 PERIYAR – ALLEPPEY
Morning checkout and drive to Alleppey embark on a "Kettuvallam", the traditional trading vessel of this beautiful coastal region and cruise on the backwater. You will be awed at the vast expanse of the paddy fields that surrounds these beautiful backwaters.The boats will stop in villages for you to experience a glimpse of the village life in rural Kerala. The villagers will be too pleased to invite you to have a sip from the freshly picked raw coconut from their own fields. (Overnight stay in Alleppey)

DAY 10 ALLEPPEY - MARARI
Drive to the picturesque fishermens village of Mararikulam and check into your resort. Tucked away inside quiet and lush coconut groves, this resort set by the pristine white-sand beaches of Marari offers you unparalleled quite in astoundingly beautiful settings.

DAY 11 MARARI
Day at leisure on the beach. Optional: Today we could drive you to Mr.Motis place where you can actually experience and learn local Kerala cooking. Kerala cuisine is renowned for its use of local spices and flavours and is sure to come back with new culinary skills. Overnight stay in Marari.

DAY 12 DEPARTURE TRANSFER TO COCHIN AIRPORT
Morning checkout and departure transfer to Cochin airport for onward flight.
